I would've entered sooner but I did even find this board before yesterday. I hope I made the cut off.
It's Jubilee in her Wondra gear with the old school trench and shades thrown over.
I'd assume that she'd go this route or similar if her powers suddenly came back.

As I understood it, each Sunday we post our critiques and also post our vote for favorite pic. At the end of the night, whichever pic has the most total posts for favorite will be responsible for posting the new character for the upcoming week by that night or as soon as possible on Monday.
Although, will be hard this week! There are a lot of really good pics.

Everyone's posted art was really fun to look at. Unfortunately it's only a little before midnight where I'm at and I think I'll be the first one to post a critique. Oh well, here goes! (hope other people join in) I don't know if we each need to critique all of them, but since no one else has started, I'm going to try to say something about each of them.
AspenTurner, even though Jubilee may not be your favorite. I think that of everyone here you captured her looks the best. I would have like to have seen a more dynamic pose though, like some of the others.
Kymaera, I love how you got her personality with the bubble gum!
ddweaponx, I liked the way you brought a story into your art. It kept my attention well. Too bad these are just sketches though, I'd have liked to have seen what you would have done with the water if it were in color!
grypesagon, I liked the incorporation of Wondra's uniform with Jubilee's powers. Very creative, and nice shading. Also I liked seeing her in action, using her powers.
bwestart, overall really nice. I haven't seen a sleeveless jacket on Jubilee before...was that a previous costume of hers? Or your own idea?
Beachbead, fun and creative. The background was a little distracting though, because it didn't look like you took as much time on that as you did with Jubilee. I really liked your concept though.
sjsurfer, I liked the action pose, seeing her use her powers makes it more fun. I'd like to see something bigger though, that would really help show off your art.
Weiswolf, nice form and shading. I thought your proportions were very good. I liked the x-table..hee hee, funny. I know this is silly, but since you did shade it, it would have been nice to see her hair shaded a bit -so she doesn't look blonde.
Wildcat, okay so this is mine. I don't have much to say about it, other than that it was done in pen and I need to work in pencil so that I can edit when needed. I promise to try harder this week!
Serena, I love your unique style. I think it matches jubilee's character very well too. Your piece looked polished, not too sketchy, and shows off your skill. I saved yours for last, because it's my pick as favorite for the week.
I vote Serena's Jubilee.

dammit, I couldn't get my sketch posted in time because my computer's power supply decided to crap out on me and I couldn't scan my artwork in, so I didn't even bother to finish the sketch. If it's cool with the people who started this, I'd at least like to submit it for critiquing as I already see a few sketches that are far and above my own. That being said, I'd like to offer a few critiques of my own:
bwestart - definitely digging the outfit. The pose is pretty cool, although I'm not sure if the "sexy model" pose is really appropriate for Jubilee's personality. I think the main thing that needs to be captured in drawing a character is maintaining that character's personality, and I'm just not seeing it here. Very nice rendering though, good clean lines, great use of shading, this piece would be very easy to ink/color.
grypesagon - loving the detail and style of the shading on the costume. I don't know anything about this Wondra stuff, and I didn't even know that Jubilee lost her powers, that's how far removed I've been from the X-Men characters until recently. You do need to watch the proportion/length of her legs though, her right leg if you were to straighten it out would be a lot longer than her left. You can fix that by showing that her left leg, the rooting leg, is bent slightly.
Beachbead - very cool concept, great line work, although I think she looks more like Psylocke than Jubilee. Very nice work though.
AspenTurner - I have to agree with Wildcat that your piece represents Jubilee's character/personality the best. Young, playful, just lookin' to have fun. I love your simplistic and almost Tim Sale-esque cartoon style.
ddweaponx - you get extra points in the storytelling department. Very cool rendering, I'd love to see this one be colored fully. Maybe I can help you with that after I finish my Turner tribute piece =)
sjsurfer - pretty basic stuff, you should definitely use something other than notebook paper to draw and scan in on, it makes it difficult to see the detail. I'd like to see this bigger.
Weiswolf - like Wildcat said, definitely at least get some extra lines in the hair to darken it, she does look like she's blonde. It's a good rendering, although I think you're drawing suffers a bit from making Jubilee look too old. LOL at the Amazing X-Table!
Wildcat - I didn't think this was done with pen at all! Nice sketch, probably could've cleaned this up a bit in photoshop if you have it. Cool pose, just make sure you watch your arm proportions, her left arm looks good, but her right forearm might be a little too short, even though her shoulder and middle arm are hidden behind her.
I saved the best two for last.
Serena - This piece shows Jubilee's personality amazingly. You pulled off the Asian-American look really well, and her face has some attitude and sass to it, which is really the Jubilee that we all know and love. The sketch itself is incredibly clean and light, and the style is very unique. Her body shape works the best with this sketch because it's a very youthful teenage physique, and most closely matches the way she might look if she existed in the real world. Excellent work.
Kymaera - Damn. I never thought Jubilee could look genuinely hot until I saw this. Costume design is incredibly sexy, and you had the idea that I had wanted to do with Jubilee blowing a big bubble of her gum! I love this piece because it's a bit more accurate as far as how Jubilee's age would be, closer to a 20 year old instead of being 15, 16 when she first joined the X-Men. The personality is still there though, it's just a bit more adult. Great unique style, another image I'd love to see in color!
After debating with myself back and forth (which is really difficult considering the amount of voices and dogs barking in my head) I'm gonna say that Kymaera's is my favorite.

I agree pretty much with the critiques above. I think they have it well covered.
AspenTurner-I think you really have her personality down in this pic; I love her expression.
ddweaponx-I really like this picture. I could so see this happening in the X mansion.
Kymaera-As said in previous posts I love how you captured Jubilee's personality and the addition of the bubblegum was the icing on the cake.
A person can be the greatest renderer in the world but it won't mean anything in comics if they can't capture the characters personality, so I also vote Kymaera.
