Depends on if Peter thinks you're being nice enough to him

I've never been told to "skidaddle" If you're blocking something, you may have to step aside, but you can hang around and talk or listen to people as long as you want. Sometimes lines have to be moved around so they don't block walkways, and for that we have line fairies who tell fanboys and girls where to wait.

Any other suggestions for Con Must-Haves??? Lets try to stay on topic, please. I'll be posting some rules and standards for the room soon. Thanks

I'm thinkin that designating a Regroup spot would be a good idea in case you have to split or are split up at any time in the con

Did someone mention cell phone? You don't always hear it ring, but they are very handy when you are lost in the exibitors hall.

Water.

Some kind of holder for your comics, just putting them in a backpack can be dangerous... also some kind of system so you can easily pull out the right comics to get signed helps. I put a comic book box in a gym back and divided them by who I wanted to sign them.

A trolley pass (or bus pass if you're not in San Diego) parking is expensive and rare near convention centers... if you are going to SDCC, and have a car park at Old Town and take a trolley to the convention center... $15 for four days, parking is free... The cheapest parking at the con is $8 and the spots that are usually still open are 10 or 20 each day.

there was so many people at SDCC this year they filled up the regular line and had people waiting by the ballrooms, the line circled most of upstairs...

Most say get there early so you can be close to the front of the line, but that line fills up early! Unless you need to be somewhere that will fill up right away, I would suggest showing up 15 minutes or so after the halls open so you can just walk in.

Here's the tips that I always link to - I did it a couple years ago..

Convention Tips

The most important:

- Shower
- Bring a camera
- Bring a sketchbook
- Know who's going to be there, and know what times they're signing
- Bring a backpack
- Carry a Sharpie and a poster tube
- Don't be a jerk to the creators
